Fans of the hit series ‘’Stranger Things” have another series to look forward to!
The sci-fi world of “Stranger Things” is bound to get an animated version. Netflix has announced in a statement on April 10, 2023, that a vivid animated series for their famed show is now in development.
Fans of the series have something new to look forward to aside from the upcoming fifth season which is slated to come out in 2027. The animated series is still part of the streaming service’s efforts to expand the hit series into a wide-ranging franchise.
The series’ title or release date is still under wraps.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving,” the Duffer brothers, creators of the original “Stranger Things” series, said in the statement.
“Stranger Things” debuted on Netflix in 2016 and became the company’s most-watched English language series. The show tells the story of a group of teenagers battling unusual happenings in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.
Netflix had previously announced that a “Stranger Things” spinoff show was in the works and a play that will debut at London’s West End in November 2023.

Meanwhile, another thing to celebrate is “Stranger Things” lead star Millie Bobby Brown’s recent engagement with her long-term boyfriend Jake Bongiovi.
The 19-year-old actress took to Instagram last April 11, 2023, to post a picture of her with Bongiovi — the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi.
The picture, in which she is wearing an engagement ring, was captioned: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.”
The line is from Taylor Swift’s hit “Lover.”
Bongiovi also posted the announcement on his page.
The couple has been an item for around two-and-a-half years. Brown has previously called Bongiovi her “partner for life.”
The British actress rose to global fame as the character Eleven in “Stranger Things.” Meanwhile, Bongiovi, 20, is an actor who is part of the forthcoming comedy “Rockbottom.”
