GMA-7’s “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” Ends Live Noontime Run

The reason behind the cancellation is not disclosed

GMA-7’s noontime show “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” aired its last live episode on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

While TAPE Inc.—the producer of the noontime show—has not released a statement yet, it has been confirmed by some of the hosts that the program will halt its usual run.

During its last episode on March 2, 2024 , one of its mainstay hosts—Isko Moreno—has extended his gratitude to the supporters as well as the team behind the program.

He says, “Ano man ang gawin mo at ano mang problemang kakaharapin, do everything for love. Ganyan ang pagamamahal namin sa inyo mga Kapuso.”

“Araw-araw kami ni Paolo [Contis] at ang TP family at TAPE Inc. na maghatid ng ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino. Siyempre, thank you din sa ating advertisers at supporters at mga Kapuso natin.”

Paolo, on the other hand, says, “Maraming, maraming salamat po. At ito po ang grand na Sabado.

Isa na namang Sabadong hindi natin malilimutan at lahat ng ito ay alay namin para sa inyo mula sa pamilya ng TAPE Inc.—ang tagahatid ng tulong-saya at unli sorpresa mula pa noong 1979 sa pamamagitan ng ‘Eat Bulaga,’ hanggang ngayon dito sa ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’”

Taking his sentiments on Instagram, Mavy Legaspi—who is also a regular host—posted a series of black-and-white photos in commemoration of the good days he had as part of the “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” family.

Part of his statement reads, “This was always about love and support- making a living. We did not fail, we just ran out of time.”

Chariz Solomon has also bid farewell to the program via Instagram, saying, “I’m excited for God’s greater purpose for this Beautiful family. #TahanangPinakamasaya indeed.”

Other “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” hosts include Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Cassy Legaspi, Alexa Miro, Kimpoy Feliciano, Dasuri Choi, Glaiza De Castro, Kokoy De Santos, Michael Sager, Yasser Marta, Winwyn Marquez, and Arra San Agustin.

Several reports have it that the noontime program will air only some of its replays until March 7, 2024, before it officially ends its run.

There is still no apparent reason behind the halting—only that the dampened rating may possibly be one of the grounds that prompted TAPE Inc. to cancel the program.

From “Eat Bulaga!,” TAPE Inc. rebranded its noontime show to “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” after losing a legal battle on all of its trademark use and rights against Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon.

It followed after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon—former mainstays of the program—decided to leave the program over a long-standing feud with the producer.
