“Vagabond” Season 2 To Film Some Scenes In The Philippines

How will the Philippines become a part of “Vagabond” season two?

Netflix’s hit action Korean drama series “Vagabond” is gearing up to shoot its second season in the Philippines.

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson revealed this during the grand opening of his BB.Q Chicken restaurant branch at Ayala Malls Feliz on April 11.

“‘Yung series na very popular sa Korea, ‘Vagabond,’ itutuloy dito. Nakatapos na sila, tapos ‘yung continuation, dito na sa Pilipinas kukunan,” he announced.

“Vagabond” tells the story of stuntman Dal-gun (Lee Seung Gi), whose nephew Cha Hoon was a victim of the B357 plane crash, which involved a ring of terrorists and governmental conspiracies attempting to cover it up.

To expose their secrets, Dal-gun teams up with Hae-ri (Bae Suzy) and the NIS to investigate and ultimately get justice.

In July 2023, Lee Seung Gi previously opened the possibility of a second season of the successful series. However, he said that there were only discussions about it, which makes Singson’s announcement the official confirmation that “Vagabond” is having a second season.

During the event, Singson also gave fans an update on the series’ production, saying that the production team of the show is still polishing the storyline to have everything set before flying to the Philippines.

Tinatapos muna ‘yung istorya para may susundan sila. Unlike the others na kapag gumawa, hinuhulaan kung saan susunod, ‘yun ayaw nila, gusto nila kumpleto na ‘yung istorya,” he explained.

Now joining as a producer of the K-Drama’s second season, Singson revealed they plan to include Filipino actors to join the cast.

Oo, makakasama ako sa production dahil niyayaya nila ako,” he said.
