Maricel Soriano, Cherry Pie Picache, and Amy Perez in one frame holds so much power!
The Kapamilya network has staged a glamorous spectacle through the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 on Saturday, September 30.
With a tagline “Forever Grateful,” the event aimed to look back on the enduring years with gratitude as big names, such as Maricel Soriano, Lorna Tolentino, and Gladys Reyes, glammed up for a night of thanksgiving and celebration.
This year’s opening has never been more iconic as Judy Ann Santos bannered the red carpet with regality. Hand in hand with her is husband Ryan Agoncillo, who walked down the red carpet just as dashing.
The outflow of veterans remained exciting as “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” star Cherry Pie Picache followed suit in emerald number. Next to her is the equally commanding “It’s Showtime” host Amy Perez in a femme, mid-slit tuxedo.
The “Diamond Star” Maricel Soriano is a gem in her own right, as she dignified the event in a tube-cut, black gown. Her hair is pulled up in a low bun to accentuate her earrings.
Cutting the deep shades that night is Jodi Sta. Maria in a sleek bob and a pearl-white gown. It is accentuated by an asymmetrical bow at the back, enough to highlight just enough skin.
Fusing black and baby pink together is Lorna Tolentino in a semi-mermaid evening gown. Her top is a culmination of fabrics bound together to create deconstructed ribbon.
Also walking with grace and power is Metro Manila Summer Film Festival 2023 Best Actress Gladys Reyes. The “Apag” star has also donned a black ensemble with white feathers as top accents.
Another pop of color in a sea of black, white, and gold is Jolina Magdangal in a hot pink ensemble. The “Sinong Manok Mo?” host was seen wearing a sweetheart number made more sophisticated by a train.
Best Supporting Actress Nominee at the 2023 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards Dolly De Leon has graced the red carpet in light-colored hair. Her gown showcases a unique play of black flowers and a massive lower body.
Other veteran stars at the ABS-CBN Ball 2023
Another “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” star, John Estrada, graced the evening in a sharp combination of white suit and black trousers. Surprisingly, he walked the red carpet without his wife Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles.
Reuniting with John is his co-actor in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Angel Aquino, who has yet again brought in authority into the room in a black, half-sleeved gown. The highlight is the mandala tattoo on her left arm that makes up for another sleeve illusion.
The youthful Ina Raymundo has also dignified the red carpet wearing a bold, high-slit, sweetheart black gown. Coming just as equally striking in black is “Can’t Buy Me Love” actress Ruffa Gutierrez who wore a rosette-like ensemble.
Early 2000 heartthrob Diether Ocampo is not a day older even at 50 years old—with many netizens paying attention to how youthful he is even now. Such is true when he arrived captivatingly at the event in all-black attire accentuated by a white helmet.
“Senior High” cast Baron Geisler made sure to make his ABS-CBN ball comeback a memorable one. He is one among the many who wore a black suit, but the subtle floral patterns made his ensemble uniquely personal.
The ABS-CBN Ball is the network’s commitment to raise funds for various charitable causes for various children, the environment, and many more. All proceeds from the event will be allocated accordingly.
