The upcoming remake of the popular K-Drama is scheduled for release in 2024!
Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are set to reunite for the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the popular K-drama “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.”
ABS-CBN and Viu Philippines made the casting announcement earlier today, November 21. The post showcased clips of the actors in their respective roles.
Kim, taking on the role of the titular Secretary Kim, was seen preparing for work in a baby blue top and pencil skirt. Paulo, on the other hand, embraced his inner Vice Chairman persona in a dark blue blazer.
The project is produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, who also produced Kim and Paulo’s recently concluded successful series on Prime Video, “Linlang.”
“What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” tells the story of an arrogant and narcissistic vice chairman of a major company whose seemingly perfect life takes an unexpected turn when his trusted long-term secretary decides to resign.
In his attempt to persuade her to stay, he finds himself developing romantic feelings for her. The original series starred South Korean actors Park Seo-jun and Park Min-young.

The Filipino adaptation marks the latest collaboration between ABS-CBN, Dreamscape Entertainment, and Viu Philippines, following “The Broken Marriage Vow” and “Flower of Evil.”

Meanwhile, Kim and Paulo took to X (formerly Twitter) to excite their fans even more with their latest project.
Paulo wrote, “Thank you! The only reason I was even considered for WWWSK is because you guys kept asking for it. I hope I reach everyone’s expectations for the role. I’m grateful. See you on 2024.

On the other hand, Kim reposted a tweet saying that “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” can be a continuation of “Linlang!”

While Kim and Paulo’s casting has been confirmed, further details about the remake are yet to be announced. But the poster says that the project is set to air in 2024.
