“Para sa akin, hindi magwo-work ang isang proyekto kung hindi kayo nagkakasundo”
Bea Alonzo celebrates her second year with GMA-7 with her second teleserye.
She is headlining the primetime series “Love Before Sunrise,” where she gets reunited with her first leading man, Dennis Trillo.
During the press conference for “Love Before Sunrise” on September 16 at SM Megamall, FreebieMNL asked Bea how she has been on her second Kapuso project.
She says with a smile, “It’s been really good. Actually, sa totoo lang, nag-e-enjoy ako kasama itong grupong ito.”
Bea then thanked Kapuso drama executives, such as GMA VP for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, VP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, AVP for Drama Helen Rose Sese, and “Love Before Sunrise” executive producer Michele Borja, as well as VIU “for prioritizing this project and for being hands-on.”
“Love Before Sunrise” is a collaboration between GMA Entertainment Group and streaming platform VIU.
Bea continues: “Ako, mahal ko yung proyekto, mahal ko yung mga tao na nandito, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better or for a team that is better than this.
“Kasi, para sa akin, hindi magwo-work ang isang proyekto kung hindi kayo nagkakasundo at kung hindi kayo nagko-collaborate sa isa’t isa.
“Kaya siguro nagwo-work itong grupo na ito is because we are willing to collaborate and we respect each other’s talents and brilliance.”
“Love Before Sunrise” tackles the forbidden love story of Stella (Bea) and Atom (Dennis), two former lovers who found the right love at the wrong time. They meet again several years later, committed to other people and trapped in unhappy marriages. Stella and Atom then give in to their rekindled romance, making things more complicated.
The project marks the reunion of Bea and Dennis, who first worked 20 years ago in the afternoon series, “K2BU,” on ABS-CBN.
The new show premiered on GMA Telebabad on September 25, with advanced episodes airing 48 hours ahead on VIU.
Joining Bea and Dennis in “Love Before Sunrise” are Andrea Torres and Sid Lucero, under the direction of Mark dela Cruz.
Bea’s first teleserye in GMA-7 was the adaptation of the Korean drama series “Start-Up,” with Alden Richards as her leading man. It was aired in 2022, a year after she signed with GMA-7.
Aside from “Love Before Sunrise,” Bea is also part of the Kapuso talent program “Battle Of The Judges.”
