Coleen Garcia Speaks Up On Alleged Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford Rift

“Sila na lang ang tanungin niyo,” Coleen says

Actress-host Coleen Garcia has finally spoken up about husband Billy Crawford’s long-speculated feud with “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda.

During the Preview Ball 2023 on September 8, the 30-year-old celebrity clarified that no bad blood has severed the ties of the former colleagues.

Kung ano man yun, sa kanila na yun, mas okay na sila na lang ang tanungin niyo. Pero yung sa amin at sa kanila, as of now, wala naman,” she shares.

Billy used to be one of the regular hosts of the noontime program, joining the program in 2010. It was only in 2018 that he left the program.

Coleen, on the other hand, also joined the roster of hosts of “It’s Showtime.” But she left the show in 2016 to focus on acting.

According to her, the coronavirus pandemic had restricted them to “keep in touch” with friends.

She says, “It’s really hard to keep in touch naman talaga with everybody…

“Ngayon, bihira ko na lang silang makita. Di naman sila gaanong nag-a-attend dito [sa Preview Ball], like sila Jugs, Kuya Kim…

“So, hindi lang naman din sila talaga nakikita.”

While Coleen points out the gap, she still emphasizes the willingness to reconnect with her former workmates.

“Well, sana magkita kami. Hindi pa kami nagkikita. Actually, ngayon na lang ako nag-i-event uli, ngayon na lang ako lumalabas ulit. I’m starting to reconnect with old friends.

“Hopefully makita ko sila uli,” she shares.

Is Billy Crawford willing to go back to “It’s Showtime?”

Billy confirmed in August that he is not shutting his doors for a comeback in “It’s Showtime,” especially now that the noontime show is airing on the Kapuso network’s sister channel, GTV. Currently, Billy is with GMA-7 for “The Voice Generations.”

More so, he expressed his willingness to do a noontime show again regardless of what network.

In an interview with PEP.ph, he says: “It doesn’t matter. Sa totoo lang, kung makakapunta ako sa ‘It’s Showtime,’ makakapunta ako sa ‘Eat Bulaga!,’ kung makakapunta ako kung saan man, kasi yun yung promotions namin para sa mga proyekto namin,” he shares.

Billy adds that he left “It’s Showtime” two years before ABS-CBN was stripped off of its franchise in 2020. As for him, his marriage with Coleen tilted his priorities, which prompted him to focus more on his family.

He shares, “I asked to [take an] off muna sa noontime kasi araw-araw hindi ko maha-handle. And also, concentrated talaga ako sa family ko. I want to give my all, my time sa family.”

Billy has also graced an interview with Boy Abunda in early September, in which he reveals that his relationship with “It’s Showtime” friends is “not like it used to be.”

Difficulty in communication comes as the primary reason for the indifference, but regardless of that Billy says: “When they’re there, nando’n naman e (the [friendship] is there).

Billy and Coleen started dating in 2014 and wed four years after in an intimate wedding ceremony in Balesin Island. They have their firstborn named Amari, who just turned three years old last September 10.
