Comedians, “Eat Bulaga!” Hosts Glam Up For The GMA Gala 2023 Red Carpet

The new “Eat Bulaga!” hosts came together in style!

Over 1000 guests gathered for the GMA Gala 2023, which took place at the grand ballroom of the Marriott Hotel, Pasay City last Saturday, July 22.

The grand event was attended by celebrities from ABS-CBN, GMA-7, and TV5 for a night filled with laughter and nostalgia.

Comedians at the GMA Gala 2023

When Ai-Ai delas Alas was asked how she felt about attending the 2023 GMA Gala, she said, “Masaya. This is my first time na um-attend ng MET Gala.”

The comedian inadvertently referred to the MET Gala, the annual fundraising event in New York City held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Michael V walked the red carpet with his wife Carol Bunagan. Michael is the only remaining original member of “Bubble Gang,” which went through a reformat recently. This comedy gag show moved from its late-night Friday timeslot to its new primetime timeslot at 6 p.m. every Sunday starting July 9, 2023.

Rufa Mae Quinto wore an all-white gown with a thigh-high slit. Her dress was created by Patricia Pascual-Claravall.

“Happy ToGetHer” comedian Jayson Gainza recently shared on social media that his daughter Ruby just graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas.

Boobay is a vision in pink in this creation by Rian Fernandez Atelier. She came with the equally good-looking GMA News reporter Dani Tingcungco, wearing glasses, black suit, and red necktie.

Empoy Marquez points at photographers snapping his photo on the red carpet. Earlier this year, the comedian was reunited with Alessandra de Rossi for the streaming movie “Walang KaParis.”

Now, he is part of the upcoming GMA Public Affairs series, “Black Rider,” with Ruru Madrid in the title role.

Chariz Solomon was accompanied by former “Bubble Gang” co-star Archie Alemania. The two remained friends even if Archie is no longer part of the show’s cast when it went through its latest reformat early this month.

Korean vlogger-dancer Dasuri Choi joined “Bubble Gang” when it underwent a revamp in May 2022. However, she is no longer included in the latest version.

Sef Cadayona walked the red carpet solo. The comedian, who was part of “Bubble Gang” and “Pepito Manaloto,” seems to be now focusing on doing teleseryes after ending his stint in the two comedy shows recently.

In a recent interview, Sef admitted to host Boy Abunda: “For me, it was I think, it was my time to graduate [from ‘Bubble Gang’] and look into a different side ng buhay ko. Going back months before, ayoko na mag-showbiz.”

Sef will be part of the upcoming GMA-7 drama series, “Love Before Sunrise,” topbilled by Dennis Trillo and Bea Alonzo.

Analyn Barro remains as one of “Bubble Gang” cast members with its reformat.

The “Eat Bulaga!” gang also came together to enjoy the GMA Gala!

Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who just signed a contract with Sparkle, took a break from his noontime show hosting duties to dress up for the GMA gala.

Aside from “Eat Bulaga,” Buboy Villar was recently added as one of the newest cast members of the Kapuso comedy gag show “Bubble Gang.”

Another “Eat Bulaga!” and “Bubble Gang” cast member who walked the red carpet is Betong Sumaya.

Newest “Eat Bulaga!” host Kimpoy Feliciano was originally a contestant from its segment last year, “Bida Next.”
