Elisse believes that she and McCoy can now handle future challenges better
Elisse Joson is proud to say that she and her partner McCoy de Leon have overcome a challenging period in their relationship and that they are now both “healed.”
The “Pira-pirasong Paraiso” star openly talked about this at a Thanksgiving event of a brand held recently.
During the interview, Elisse expressed that the past year had been tough for her and McCoy. However, their relationship grew stronger after taking time to heal individually.
Responding to questions about their current status, Elisse said, “We talked about it. I guess, last year was a stage for us where we wanted to be quiet and heal on our own.
“It happened, and what you see is what you get. But now, we’re happy to show it to you.”
Talking about how their relationship will go through this year, she said, “A healed and better 2024. We want to keep going and to make it stronger. We’re healed.
“And siguro, iba na ang ita-tackle naming issues in the future, but we know we can handle it better.”

When asked about marriage plans, Elisse answered in jest, “‘Pag mga gan’un, nakaka-stress sagutin!
“We’ll get there. Last year, we want to be quiet about our family and relationship because we want to make it stronger.”
Elisse clarified that, at present, she and McCoy are focused on going after their dreams before considering marriage.
“Hanggang ngayon, ganun pa rin na ang hirap madaliin ang kasal and the foundation is rocky. Huwag na muna po, we’re busy building the life of our dreams tulad ng bahay,” she emphasized.
When discussing choosing acting projects as a mother, Elisse highlighted the need to dispel the industry’s notion that having children is a setback.
“Laging merong notion na sayang tayo kapag nagka-anak. Walang masasayang because being a mother made us more confident and more whole as a woman,” she asserted.
