“What you see is what you get,” Alden says
Alden Richards broke his silence on the internet’s kilig reaction to a video of him and Kathryn Bernardo during the actress’ birthday celebration.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” on April 10, Alden shared the story behind the suprise.
He said, “I was invited and siyempre, it was part of her post-birthday celebration with friends and family. Masaya naman. Masaya naman ‘yung naging experience and you can see how happy Kath is right now.”
When asked about his relationship status with Kathryn, Alden emphasized that they have remained friends after working together on “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”
“What you see is what you get,” he said.
Alden then expounded, “Hindi lang din talaga kailangan lagi ipamalita sa social media yung mga ganyan. You know, sometimes, yung mga personal things that’s happening, better be personal na lang.”
Meanwhile, “Hello, Love, Goodbye” director Cathy Garcia-Sampana shared her perspective on Alden and Kathryn’s relationship in a recent interview, stating, “Hindi ibig sabihin na madalas magsama ay nagliligawan na. Pwede namang pure friendship.
“Pwede ring simula ng something, but wala po tayong alam do’n,” she added.
