He emphasized that he only speaks up on issues when someone he loves is being targeted
Basketball player-turned-TV personality Ricci Rivero chooses to stay away from issues surrounding his ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes.
One such issue was that Andrea was allegedly involved in the breakup of celebrity couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. At press time, however, the three of team remain mum about the issue.

In an interview with reporters during a recent anniversary party for a brand, Ricci emphasized his preference for peace, saying, “Any comment, wala po.”
“From the very start, I just wanted peace for everyone. Ako, gusto ko lang family ko masaya.
“I’m very lucky to be happy as well sa both career, relationship ngayon. Wala akong anything against kahit sino. Kaya ako nagsalita before just for the sake, for people to hear my side,” the artist clarified.

Ricci clarified that he only speaks up when his loved ones, such as his family and girlfriend Leren Bautista, are being bashed or dragged into the issue.
“Nagsasalita lang ako if bugbog na family ko and Leren, which I think they don’t deserve. Sa akin, wala. Kasi pumasok ako sa relationship, I know how social media plays on our lives and spotlight we got in that time.”
As for Andrea, he said, “Walang anything. No bad blood. Masakit lang for my family, they don’t deserve the words and judgment.”
During the interview, Ricci emphasized that he and Leren have moved on from the issues surrounding them and are now content with being with each other.
“Ngayon, ‘tapos na dun. I’m just happy, masaya family ngayon. Mas happy kami ngayon.
‘Yung core namin is hanggang nasa tama ka naman, God will help us din through the storms. Lahat ‘yan hindi ibibigay without knowing kaya natin lagpasan,” he added.
