The “world-famous original glazed doughnuts” has gotten a fabulously chic Barbie makeover in celebration of its 86th birthday!
Ask any person an iconic childhood character, and Barbie ™ will surely make the list well and good. Her statuesque figure, long blonde hair, and of course, genuine political takes are all fragments of what many consider as their childhood.
While there was a time for our then-self to put the iconic figure down in exchange for adulthood, a good throwback is surely enough to take us back to that pink moment.
To commemorate over nine decades of bringing “irresistibly sweet and happy moments to everyone” Krispy Kreme has recently teamed up with Barbie™ to launch its limited edition doughnuts and a cotton candy-flavored refreshment— just some treats that will surely bring distant childhood memories here in the present.
Barbie ™ takes every once pony-tailed girl back to their pastel-painted rooms with its double-dipped pink chocolate and glittergelli finish.Just as much, Barbie ™ the Original, the Dreamer, and the Girl Boss doughnut drives us back to bubblegum days with its blue coating, candy sprinkles, and candy topper.
The collaboration also offers a “pink sparkly drink made with kreme base, candy flavor, and pink glittergelli, finished with whipped cream, sprinkles, and Barbie ™ candy topper.”
The limited-time doughnuts are priced at Php 70, while the cotton candy chiller is available for Php 169—all available starting July 1 until July 31, 2023 at any Krispy Kreme store nationwide.

“Get your sparkle on, show the world where you belong” resonates more excitingly now that life-sized Barbie boxes are placed in nine Krispy Kreme factory stores. Similarly, putting the pink life louder are photo frames in select Krispy Kreme stores.
As Krispy Kreme’s Senior Marketing Manager, Ysabel Cruz, puts it: ““This July, we want our guests, or as we call them Originals or OGs, to have a blast and Spot Happy with us as we enjoy Krispy Kreme’s 86th birthday. July is one of the most celebrated months for us and we can’t wait to share these special treats we’ve prepared for you.”
