Shake things up by doing any of these things with the most important woman in your life.
Your mother will always appreciate whatever you do for her. You don’t have to pull out all the stops whenever you take her out on a date. But in case you’re in the mood to try something new, here are a few unusual mother-child date ideas.
Challenge her to a race
If both of you are adrenaline junkies, take her to SM North’s newly-opened EKart Raceway. It features a multi-level 300-meter go-kart track that you can enjoy. EKart Raceway is on the third floor of SM North Edsa. Prices start at P650 for 6 minutes. Visit their website for more information.
Eat (or sing) your hearts out
If you’d rather stay at home, then a samgyupsal and videoke session is in order. Buy condiments and meat at a Korean grocery near you. (If you can’t find one, you might want to try GrabMart.) Once you have all the fixings for samgyupsal, look for a karaoke channel on YouTube. Eat and sing to your hearts’ content. It’ll be less expensive, plus you won’t have to deal with heavy traffic.
Jump for joy
WiiJUMP is a trampoline park on the second floor of Festival Supermall in Alabang. It’s the largest of its kind, at least in the Philippines. It has an Olympic-sized trampoline, falling net, and ninja course. No matter how old you and your mother are, you’ll love the dodgeball area and the sticky wall. A one-hour session at WiiJUMP only costs P399.
Make magical memories together
Check out Tales of Illumina! It’s a hidden gem in the heart of the metro, located on the second floor of Ever Commonwealth in Quezon City. For only P699, you can enjoy their art installations and shows.
There’s also Enchanted Kingdom, which is finally up and running again. They have tame rides like the Rio Grande Rapids and Up, Up, and Away. Thrillseekers will enjoy the EKstreme Tower Ride and the Space Shuttle.
You can try any (or all) of these mother-child date ideas. But know that even if you do what you usually do, you and your mother will still have fun. After all, nothing beats the gift of time.
