Basically, ads will appear as tiles on the Shop tab home page, enabling browsers to click on the ad. To know more about the product, users just need to tap on the particular product they’re eyeing.
Users can also browse the other items that particular brand is selling, and even save the product to a wishlist. This means you can go back to that item anytime, and you can continue checking out other stuff on Instagram. You can even share the item with your friends, which means you can give your boyfriend a gentle nudge on what you want for your birthday. Hint hint.
While this feature benefits businesses tremendously, it’s also a plus for consumers, as it’ll make shopping on the app so much easier. It doesn’t necessarily mean you can do all your shopping via Instagram, but it’s a step towards that direction.
This feature is now available in countries wherein Instagram Shop is available. So yes, Filipino entrepreneurs can take advantage of this new feature, and possibly score new customers.
