Carla Abellana To Work With Bea Alonzo As She Remains A Kapuso

Carla expresses her excitement with working with “THE Bea Alonzo”

Carla Abellana announced that she is still a Kapuso, as she teases fans with an upcoming project with Bea Alonzo this year.

On Monday, January 1, 2024, Carla took her excitement to Instagram to confirm that she’s still a GMA-7 artist and that she has a new series coming up with Bea titled “Widows’ War.”

Carla uploaded a teaser video composed of heated scenes of her, Bea, and their co-star Gabbi Garcia, which were clips from their past TV shows.

It comes with a caption that reads, “The cats are now out of the bag. Yes, cats with an S [smiling emoji]”

“1. I’m still a KAPUSO [heart emoji]

“2. I’m finally going to be working with THE Bea Alonzo

“Lord, THANK YOU [praying hands emoji]”

Carla’s elation was met with just as much excitement from Bea, who commented on the post, “I’m so excited to work with you!! [heart emojis]”

Bea Alonzo's comment on Carla Abellana

Carla currently headlines the afternoon series “Stolen Life” with Gabby Concepcion and Beauty Gonzalez.

Bea, on the other hand, is set to take another series after the successful run of her Kapuso series, “Love Before Sunrise” with Andrea Torres, Cheska Fausto, Dennis Trillo, and Sid Lucero.

Meanwhile, “Widows’ War” comes from the success of two Kapuso primetime murder-mystery series, “Widows’ Web (2022)” and “Royal Blood (2023).”

“Widows’ War” is one of the offerings of GMA-7’s rebranded primetime block, GMA Prime.

Carla Abellana remains a loyal Kapuso

Carla was hopeful that “Stolen Life” would not be the last series she would do under her home network.

Just in November 2023, the actress was uncertain about the trajectory of her contract as it was put under assessment between Triple A—her management—and GMA-7.

Carla shares in an interview, “Sana siyempre, maganda po yung Pasko na maganda rin ang news. Magandang Christmas gift po sa akin yung pag naging okay po yung negotiations nila.”

At that time, Carla was also rumored to transfer to ABS-CBN, with guesting in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” already planned out. However, Carla says that she did not know anything about it.
