Daniel uploads a photo of Kathryn with a Japanese birthday greeting
Daniel Padilla celebrated his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo’s 28th birthday through a simple greeting uploaded on his Instagram account.
Exactly 12 midnight of March 26, 2024, Daniel uploaded a greeting on his IG story—a photograph of what seems like Kathryn in polarized pixels.
The post comes with a Japanese phrase which directly translates to “Happy birthday to you.”

Daniel’s recent post indicates that he might still be civil with Kathryn—despite his separation with the actress announced through Instagram.
Prior to this, Daniel and Kathryn have attended their close friends Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo’s wedding on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Just as much, they were also present at past gatherings—including Robi Domingo’s wedding with non-showbiz girlfriend Maiqui Pineda.

Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s separation
The A-list tandem of ABS-CBN called KathNiel had been together for 11 years. Both have publicized their separation on November 30, 2024—in what seems to be a highly followed breakup of the year.
The breakup was tainted with controversy after issues of infidelity made it straight to the narrative. It was first revealed by entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz who claimed that there was a third party involved.

Following this, Andrea Brillantes’s name was dragged into the issue, with allegations saying that she was the reason behind Daniel and Kathryn’s breakup. The speculation grew stronger when Kathryn unfollowed Andrea on Instagram.

Daniel and Kathryn’s tandem started when they were paired together for ABS-CBN’s weekly series “Growing Up.” This was then followed by yet another series “Princess and I” believed to have made way for their relationship to prosper.
Some of their notable projects are “Got To Believe” in 2013, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” in 2015, “La Luna Sangre” in 2017, and “2 Good 2 Be True” in 2022.
They also headlined some noteworthy films such as “Must Be Love” in 2013, “She’s Dating The Gangster” in 2014, and “The Hows of Us” in 2018.
