Both hosts are open to the possibility of hosting a noontime show
With the unexpected closure of TAPE Inc. and GMA-7’s noontime show, “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” programming changes within the Kapuso network’s noontime block are expected to happen.
One rumor is that its pre-noontime variety show, “Tiktoclock,” is moving to the noontime slot.
Another rumor is that a new noontime show, which GMA-7 will solely produce, is in the works with the hosts of “Tiktoclock” as its cast.
During the launch of Sparkle 10 on March 5, 2024, FreebieMNL was able to ask two “Tiktoclock” hosts about this development: Sparkle artists Faith da Silva and Rabiya Mateo.

Faith da Silva sympathizes with “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” family
Faith finds what happened with “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” a sensitive issue for her because she was also able to do hosting stints in a few episodes of the show.
Aside from that, she also appeared in the show’s predecessor, “Eat Bulaga!”
She says, “Mahirap… ang hirap para sa akin magsalita because I’ve also been part of ‘Eat Bulaga!’, I’ve been part of ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ and also ‘Tiktoclock.’
“Dinaanan ko sila talagang tatlo so parang yung mga tao sa ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya,’ you know, I have so much love and support and care for them.”
In fact, it was in “Eat Bulaga!” where she was discovered that she had the knack for hosting.
“Even with ‘Tiktoclock,’ nauna naman din ako talaga sa ‘Eat Bulaga!’ Nakita lang nila na, ‘Uy, si Faith Da Silva pala ay nag-ho-host,’ kaya lang naman ako nilipat sa ‘TiktoClock’ at saka kaya ako naging part ng ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.’”
Faith sympathizes with the staff and crew of “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” who just lost their jobs because of the abrupt and unexpected closure.
She continues, “Ang hirap ng pinagdaanan nila ngayon, especially lalo na sa mga staff and crew na mawawalan ng trabaho, di ba?”
But what does she think of “Tiktoclock” replacing “Tahanang Pinakamasaya?”
“Salamat kasi naiisip nila na posible kaming pumalit talaga. Pero sa ngayon, ako, wala… Wala din akong alam.
“Wala din akong alam, wala din akong idea kung anong mangyayari, hihintayin ko na lang yung ibinibigay ng Panginoong Diyos na talagang path para sa amin.”
But still, she believes that it will be a blessing if ever she would be part of the new noontime show, regardless of what people will think about it.
She exclaims, “Oo naman! Bakit naman hindi? It’s a blessing.
“I mean, yung komento ng mga ibang tao, wala na din akong magagawa diyan, you know? Kahit na anong gawin natin, hindi natin talaga mapi-please lahat ng tao and kami, mga empleyado lang din kami.
“Gusto ko lang din kumita ng pera at gusto ko lang din magpasaya ng mga tao. So, kung ako naman, malinis at pure ang intentions ko, I think walang masama sa gagawin ko.”
Rabiya Mateo is ready to take on the challenge
As for Rabiya, she is not yet aware of the rumor that “Tiktoclock” is a possible replacement for “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”
Even then, she sees this move as beneficial to the viewers, more than anyone else.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 titleholder says, “Actually, wala talaga akong narinig na ganyan. Of course, as a host, we hope the best for show, at kung ibibigay sa amin yung slot na ‘yun, mas maraming oras, mas maraming mapapasaya, mas marami kaming kulitan na mapapakita.
“Pero so far po, wala pa po talagang sinasabi, but let’s pray for it. Kung anuman po yung desisyon ng nasa taas, rerespetuhin po namin.”
But is she’s game to do the job, Rabiya declares: “I am ready! I am ready kasi the goal of the show is to make people happy.”
But how does she think this move will impact her career?
She answers, “Not just impact sa career ko but sa savings ko. Charot!
“Hindi, siyempre po, mas [maraming] workload. ‘Di ba, po lahat naman po kami, ‘yun naman yung ina-apsire namin—na makapag-ipon kasi siyempre, ginagawa naman po namin ito para din sa pamilya namin.
“So, opo, ‘yun na sagot ko. Baka sabihin nila mukhang pera si Rabiya pero hindi naman po.”
At press time, GMA-7 has yet to announce what will replace “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.” Its timeslot is currently occupied by “Lunchtime Movie Hits.”
