Heart Evangelista admits she had her lips done by a friend who was not licensed
Heart Evangelista shared a traumatic story regarding her experience with lip fillers, revealing that she once had the procedure done by a close friend who was not licensed to perform it.
In a now-deleted Instagram livestream, Heart opened up about this incident while answering questions from fans.
“I did get lip filler. I just didn’t want to talk about it because I was super traumatized, because when I got the lip filler, I went against Dr. Aivee,” she mentioned, referring to celebrity doctor Aivee Teo.
She continued, “I didn’t do it with her. I did it with somebody that was very, very close to me, but he didn’t have the license to do my lips.”
Despite facing criticism about her lips’ appearance afterward, Heart chose to keep the incident private.
Without naming names, she narrated, “I trusted him.
“Kumbaga, budol na budol ako, so ginawa ko ‘yung lip filler. Ni hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung nilagay niya sa lips ko but basically, uneven ‘yung lips ko.
“I just didn’t want to tell you. Of course, I went to the same person. He’s not a doctor. I think he’s a nurse.
“Same person because, of course, they convinced me that they can fix it. It was super uneven, so, that’s why.”
Despite Heart’s trust in her friend, she regretted the decision as the correction attempts were unsuccessful.
“Never tayo magpapabudol ever again. Actually, technically, pwedeng-pwede siya majulong [makulong] kasi wala siyang lisensya tapos malpractice pa. Sobrang nagpasa-pasa. I had pain.
“It was so bad, so I had a doctor who had to take it out and fix it because it was really, really bad.”
Now, Heart can say that she has learned her lesson about trusting people, especially in these situations.
“You know, when you trust, sometimes, tanga, naniwala. So, yeah, I did my lips before.
“I was in denial for a time. I really thought that mahal ako ng taong ‘yon pero na-malpractice ako.”
