Kathryn: “Sinabi ko sa ABS-CBN na ‘Hindi kita iiwan'”
Kathryn Bernardo remains a Kapamilya as she signs a new contract with ABS-CBN’s talent management arm—Star Magic—on Friday, February 2, 2024.
The 27-year-old actress is accompanied by her mother Min Bernardo during the contract-signing event titled “Forever Kapamilya, Kathryn Bernardo.”
Min, who acts as one of Kathryn’s managers, has earlier dispelled the rumor that her daughter will transfer to another management.
Gracing the event are some of the Kapamilya big bosses: ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes and Chief Executive Officer and President Carlo Katigbak.
Also present at the contract signing are Head of Star Magic and Entertainment Production Laurenti Dyogi, Head of ABS-CBN Films Kriz Gazmen, Chief Finance Officer Rick Tan, and Head of Star Magic Marketing and Senior Talent Manager Alan Real.

Kathryn’s contract-signing came amid speculation that the A-list talent will no longer renew ties with Star Magic but will instead sign under Maja Salvador and husband Rambo Nuñez’s talent agency Crown Artist Management.
The event was first announced on Thursday, January 21, 2024 via Star Magic’s Instagram account. As for the post, Kathryn is set to embark in “new stellar adventures,” as he reinked her contract with the home network.
In line with Kathryn’s renewal, Daniel, her ex-boyfriend, is also gearing up for his own contract-signing under Star Magic. Similarly, Daniel was rumored to transfer to another management following his breakup with Kathryn.

Kathryn Bernardo receives fond words from ABS-CBN executives
As Kathryn welcomes a new milestone, she could not help but be emotional, especially that Cory Vidanes and Carlo Katigbak aired appreciation for her work as an actress.

Cory shares, “We are truly, truly proud of all your achievements and who you have become as an inspiring icon and a well-loved idol.
“You’re making me cry. We will forever be grateful, Kath, you know that. That you, for many, many years, remained loyal to ABS-CBN.”
Carlo, on the other hand, puts focus on how Kath has developed throughout the years in the industry. As for him, “You really are our superstar, you have an amazing talent on-screen and it shows in the success of everything that you do.
“But more than that, I’ve been witness to your most special trait—it’s the kindness and the grace that you show to the people around you: your co-workers, your fans, your friends.”
Kathryn, for her part, has also aired fond words for all the people who support her. In as much,she has reminisced about the time she vowed that she will never leave ABS-CBN.
Kathryn recalls, “I remember in 2020, I made a promise. Sinabi ko sa ABS-CBN na ‘Hindi kita iiwan.’ Sinabi ko sa kanya, ‘Hindi kita iiwan at nandito lang ako hanggang makabangon ka ulit.’ And today, here I am fulfilling that promise.
“Ang daming nangyari sa ABS-CBN but mahal ko, e. Mahal ko sobra yung kumpanya and you know, together, we will rise despite all the challenges. We’ll be stronger and even better.”
