It’s confirmed! Matt Murdock will be going up against Wilson Fisk again.
Marvel Studios gives Daredevil a second life in Daredevil: Born Again.
Kevin Feige made the big reveal of the character’s return at SDCC’s Hall H during his Phase 5 announcement. The series will be coming to Disney+ with a massive episode count of 18 in its first season.
Matt Murdock started as a boy who lost his sight. He eventually gained superhuman senses in an accident. That taught him to live without fear. He went on to study law, leading him to a life of crime fighting in New York. He does that on two fronts: as a lawyer and the vigilante Daredevil.
Netflix made its version of the series in 2015. Marvel’s Daredevil ran for three seasons or 39 episodes. According to reviews, the show had a great run. Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) had great hero-villain chemistry. Netflix canceled the popular series in 2018. Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Defenders, and The Punisher also got the ax. That left fans hoping Disney might bring the characters into the MCU.
Kevin Feige confirmed that Vincent is joining Cox in the upcoming Disney+ series.
Daredevil also appeared in ‘She-Hulk’
Charlie Cox is one busy man. He first made an unexpected cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home where he was Peter’s lawyer. Cox will reprise his role in the upcoming Disney+ series Echo, slated for a 2023 release.
Fans can expect their favorite street brawler in another Disney+ series this year. In the new trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Daredevil is interacting with She-Hulk. That shocked fans since his casting wasn’t announced before his trailer appearance. But as surprised as they were, they were also very pleased.
Daredevil: Born Again is set for release in Spring 2024 with an 18-episode season.
