He was too busy filming videos to attend this year’s Streamy Awards
The Streamy Awards 2023 saw several notable creators and streamers gaining recognition for their efforts in making content.
Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson stood out and received the 2023 Creator of the Year award. This marks his fourth consecutive win in this category.
In response to his win, the announcer jokingly said, “You know, if you keep giving him awards, he really needs to show up.”

This led to a flood of trolls and memes poking fun at MrBeast’s hatred towards award shows. Nonetheless, on August 29, he took to Twitter to provide an explanation for his absence. He was too busy filming content for his channel. His tweet read: “I’m filming videos.”

MrBeast is one of the most prominent online figures, boasting an astonishing subscriber count of over 179 million. To commemorate his exceptional year, marked by hundreds of millions of views, he was honored with the 2023 Creator of the Year Award.

Aside from the Creator of the Year award, he also secured the Collaboration Award through a brief video collaboration with the Rock (Dwayne Johnson). The duo engaged in a rock, paper, and scissors game, with MrBeast emerging as the victor.
While he also garnered a nomination for the Best Creator Product award, this particular victory was claimed by UK-based YouTuber JJ “KSI” and WWE star and YouTuber Logan Paul for their Prime Hydration Drink.

Despite his achievements, MrBeast couldn’t attend the event due to his demanding schedule. In a recent tweet, he shared that he will only have a few days off until the year’s end.

Several other content creators also won big at this year’s Streamy Awards. Darren “IShowSpeed,” secured the Variety Streamer of the Year award, and Kai Cenat, received the Streamer of the Year award.
