JK Labajo Lauded For Protecting A Baby During His Concert

OPM singer JK Labajo gains admiration from netizens following a video wherein he can be seen looking over a child from one of his recent concerts. 

JK’s thoughtful gesture reached the public’s attention after a netizen uploaded the moment on Facebook on Saturday, March 23, 2024. 

It comes with a caption that reads, “JK mas nag worry pa sa 2 months old na Baby kaysa sa sariling magulang ng bata.

“Huwag nating i-sacrifice ang kaligtasan ng anak natin kaysa sa panandalian nating kaligayahan.”

The video shows that the singer is worried about the infant—particularly on the effects of loud music and graphic language that his hit song “Ere” might inflict on the child. 

He can be heard saying, “Two months? Ba’t mo pinaparinig ng ‘Ere’ yung bata? Two months pa lang. Maaga. ‘Wag.” 

With the loud noise that might likely affect the child’s hearing, JK asks, “Wala bang earmuffs si baby? Umiiyak na si baby o okay lang ba iyan? Umiiyak. Kawawa naman yung bata.” 

In another angle, JK is shown carrying the child on his chest while coordinating with his staff about something. 

Relaying the warning to his audience, he says that infants still have a highly sensitive auditory reception—thus, there’s a need to use covers when attending such an event. 

While he is still thankful for the support of his fans, he emphasizes that a child’s safety should always take precedence over the need to go to music fests. 

“Maraming salamat sa suporta, pero please, alagaan niyo si baby,” JK pleads. 

JK Labajo receives praise from netizens 

With the thoughtful act that JK displayed, he sure won the hearts of netizens—with people saying that Jk is a good father in the making. 

One netizen comments, “He knows better than a real parent altho he’s still single…he’ll be a good father.” 

Another one says, “An example of a good father in the future,” while another user writes, “Kudos JK.. mas magulang kapa kesa sa mga magulang niang batang yan 2 months [heart emojis]” 

The viral video currently has more than 30,000 likes and 2,000 shares. 

The “Ere” hitmaker is set to reprise his role in the second season of ABS-CBN’s primetime suspense-drama “Senior High” titled “High Street.”
