Tito Sotto says they will still use “Eat Bulaga!” once it airs on TV5
It’s TVJ on TV5!
TV5 is officially the new home of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon following their controversial departure from TAPE Inc.

Mediaquest Holdings Inc., the owner of TV5, issued a statement regarding its partnership with TVJ earlier today, June 7, 2023.
The statement says that Mediaquest is entering into an agreement with TVJ and the Dabarkads to produce content for TV5 and its other platforms.
Mediaquest President and CEO Jane Basas, in the statement, expresses how happy she is that TV5 is now TVJ’s home.
She adds: “I’m honored that these pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry have agreed to work with us.
“Our partnership strengthens our ability to continue to deliver the best for Filipino viewers here at home and all over the world.”
In a short part of the statement, Tito Sotto also airs his gratitude to Mediaquest for a “fresh start” in their career as hosts.
He said, “We are thankful to our friends at Mediaquest for this fresh start.
“Dahil sa ating mga Dabarkads na naging Kapatid, tuloy pa rin ang tuwa’t saya na aming dala.”
Aside from TVJ, the original hosts of “Eat Bulaga!” who joined the “exodus” on May 31 are also joining on TV5: Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Ryan Agoncillo, as well as some of its key people in the production.
TVJ on TV5? How about It’s Showtime?
Currently, the noontime slot of TV5 is occupied by ABS-CBN’s noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” which has a blocktime arrangement with the Kapatid network.
However, there are unconfirmed reports saying that once TVJ enters TV5, “It’s Showtime” will have a delayed telecast on TV5. ABS-CBN and TV5, however, have yet to issue a statement regarding this development.
Meanwhile, Tito told PEP.ph earlier today that they will still use “Eat Bulaga!” as the title of their show. There is currently an ongoing copyright battle between TVJ and TAPE Inc. regarding the title of the program.
At present, “Eat Bulaga!” on GMA-7 is hosted by Sparkle talents Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, and the Legaspi twins Cassy and Mavy. Alexa Miro and XOXO girls Lyra Micolob, Mel Caluag, and Dani Ozaraga are also part of the show.
