Comedian Alora Sasam apologized for sharing a meme featuring Kathryn Bernardo suggesting a drink after KathNiel’s breakup confirmation broke the internet.

Alora, a close friend of Kathryn, deleted the photo from her Facebook page, where Kathryn appeared to be whispering something to her. Screenshots of the since-deleted image, however, circulated on social media.
Alora captioned her thoughts on the KathNiel breakup in the social media post, injecting humor by declaring December 1 the “Philippine National Shot Puno Day.”
The meme portrayed a speech bubble next to Kathryn saying, “Shot puno mamaya. Bawal tumakas” Alora’s bubble responded, “Pwede iwan ko na lang atay ko? Balikan ko bukas.“

Kathryn and Daniel officially confirmed their separation on November 30 after being together for 11 years. The ex-lovers confirmed the breakup by releasing separate statements on their respective Instagram accounts.
“Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work. We’ve been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can’t go back to where we used to be. It just won’t be fair to pretend that everything is still the same,” Kathryn said in her statement.
“Thank you for dancing with me during my highs and thank you for singing with me during my lows. Our lives may drift away, but our love will still ride that tide,” Daniel said.
