After being denied the role years ago, Channing is finally playing Gambit
Channing Tatum has reportedly filmed a cameo as Gambit for the upcoming “Deadpool 3.” This is according to reliable MCU insider MyTimeToShineHello.
Channing was supposed to play Gambit in a standalone film for Gambit. However, the film was canceled in 2019. Taylor Kitsch portrayed the character in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
While plot details for “Deadpool 3” are yet to be confirmed, reports suggest it will involve many timelines and variants. In “Deadpool 2,” Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool traveled through the multiverse to kill his Origins version and prevent Reynolds from starring in Green Lantern.
This may lead Deadpool to encounter the Time Variance Authority, responsible for maintaining the “Sacred Timeline.”
Filming for “Deadpool 3,” with the working title “Tidal Wave,” began in May 2023. The film is eagerly anticipated for its inclusion of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. “Deadpool” creator Rob Liefeld teased fans, promising elements that will leave them stunned. There are possibilities of cameos from characters featured in previous Fox/Marvel films.
Recently, there was speculation that Ben Affleck may reprise his role as Daredevil/Matt Murdock in “Deadpool 3.” Ben portrayed the character in the 2003 film “Daredevil” and had a cameo in “Elektra.”
Rumors suggest that “Deadpool 3” will revisit other Marvel films distributed by 20th Century Fox, including the original X-Men and Fantastic Four movies. Rumors also circulate about the potential returns of Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden from the X-Men franchise.
Confirmed cast members for “Deadpool 3” include Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.
