Gillian asks for respect for the former real-life couple
Kapamilya star Gillian Vicencio has addressed the accusation of being the third party in Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s relationship.
This follows the confirmation that Kathryn and Daniel have decided to call it quits after 11 years on Thursday, November 30.
On December 1, she wrote on X, “‘Wag niyo po ako idamay dito, hindi po totoo. Bigyan naman po natin sila ng respeto.”

Netizens have alleged a secret romance between Daniel and Gillian since she starred alongside the former couple during the run of their series “2 Good 2 Be True.”
Gillian have previously denied the speculation in a August 3 interview, emphasizing that she and Daniel are just friends. “Hindi ko talaga alam saan nanggagaling ‘yung mga sabi-sabi,” the actress said.
Aside from “2 Good 2 Be True,” Gillian was part of the 2023 film “A Very Good Girl,” which Kathryn top-billed with Dolly de Leon.
Kathryn and Daniel’s break-up
On November 30, Kathryn and Daniel both took to Instagram to end all speculations about their rumored break-up, confirming that they, indeed, have parted ways.
“Chapter closed,” Kathryn captioned her post.

“I hope this finally helps all of us move forward. I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for understanding,” she added.”
Minutes after Kathryn released her statement, Daniel also posted his with the caption, “Ikaw at ako.”

While the two celebrities did not disclose why they broke up, Kathryn admitted in her post that they “have been drifting apart for a while now.”
ABS-CBN and Star Magic, in a statement released on December 2, urged the public to stop making fake news in line with KathNiel’s breakup.
Part of the statement read: “Let’s respect their statements and refrain from adding more or creating fake news.”
